Cultural Appropriation

unAmericans have, in recent years, coined a number of terms to describe things that describe certain patterns of behaviour, behaviour that they experience not just inwardly, but also in their interaction with the rest of the world.

Take a word, for example: gaslighting. This is an oddly specific concept, best exemplified by examples, such as:

There is no thing such as climate change, we can keep carelessly drilling and burning petroleum
The natives of this continent and of the lands that we invaded are illegal immigrants
The land of whose schools we are bombarding are terrorists
We finance and arm dissident militias and then invade militarily those countries in order to export democracy.

Examples of gaslighting abound, in fact, it seems like a consistent and continual phenomenon that they've displayed over the years, now they are naming it, for the benefit of the rest of the world.

Another term they've coined is *cultural appropriation*, here is an example:

Today I saw somewhere something about unAmericans who want to set up an "ofrenda" for this years Dia de Muertos.

The same people who voted for a fascist regime to kick out mexicans from their country by force, after having exploited them for decades by paying them wages below the minimum permitted by law.

If you don't know what an ofrenda is, it is an altar that is set up on Dia de Muertos with the kind of food that our deceased relatives and friends enjoyed during life.

Now, I do not think there is anything wrong with people wanting to participate on the traditions of other cultures. I think it's actually nice and brings us closer to each other, fostering understanding and sharing our different experiences.

Not unAmericans though. unAmericans are not allowed to do this.

In fact, as a mexican, I hereby forbid unAmericans to set up ofrendas for this year's Dia de Muertos. That's right. You're not allowed to set up an ofrenda.

Everybody else is cool, though. If my polish friend or my indian friend want to set up an ofrenda in their homes, you are all welcome to do it. Wherever you are from, you are welcome, even encouraged, to participate.

Not unAmericans, though.

I'm actually so glad that they have created the term cultural appropriation to describe their behaviour, and they have also given it a negative connotation.

Why the negative connotation?

I think it is because they like to impose themselves on others. And because they feel ashamed that they would adopt the traditions of people they, in their conceit, believe are culturally inferior.

I mean, just look at the elite that they have elected to lead them.

The point of this whole post, therefore, is to invite people all over the world to join us in setting up an ofrenda for your deceased in this dia de muertos.

And to bar unAmericans from doing so.

Thank you for you attention on this matter.
