I've been brooding this for a good while now. Actually, throughout my linux journey all I ever wanted was to build my ideal dream distro, if that is at all possible. I would like to build the best I can with the tools I have available, as parametrized by my own standards; what are those? The spec ought to speak for itself:
I would like to do most of my online activities maybe through emacs, mostly through protocols that are not http/s, such as gemini, gopher, and the ones already mentioned above.
I intend to divorce from the use of search engines, to do that I need to make my own "address book", and to gather in it every link of interest that I may come across while "surfing" the internet, as one used to do.
I don't do a lot of being on the computer these days, so it's less likely for me to go and do all that, but who knows? I have a strong aversion for the "big web" and the webcorp corruption thing so as to make it an interesting project.
